I will start with the bad news, of which there is very little, and the whole of it was that my wake-up call came at 5:30…AM. It was dark, and as many of you know, I have a problem being up when birds are not.
This was swiftly and powerfully counter-acted by the fact that I was chosen by Gary Keller of Keller Williams Realty to kick off their annual training and inspirational event at the Austin Convention Center.
I walked out on stage with Gary to the thunderous applause of 3,000 people, whom he asked to open their folders and take out the lyric sheet to “My Life”. He announced that it was his new favorite song, that he played it every morning to start his day, and that it was now the KW inspirational theme song. I sang it through, we talked, and then he asked me to play it again so that everyone could sing along. Feeling ever blessed, and a bit overcome, I sang it through, letting the crowd sing the last chorus. Thanks to Gerald and Catt, my co-writers for an amazing song.
Today, I am happy to beat the birds (not in a violent way…you know what I mean)
