My “day job” for the better part of my career has been that of songwriter. For those unfamiliar with the process, this means starting each day with a blank page, and an open heart and mind.

Those of us who engage in this process with some regularity, begin to develop a sense about certain songs that ‘stand out’…and we come to realize that some are destined to have a life of their own, beyond our imagining, and in some cases, beyond our lifetimes. I am humbled to say that I am associated with a few such works.

The song “My Life” is one of these songs.

The thing that sets this song apart for me, is that its message is one I aspire to live in to, and to grow in to. Sometimes, all any of us can do is follow ‘our work’ and allow the creation to teach us, and take us to places we may otherwise have never gone.

I can never be encouraged too often to stay in my truth, speak it with my mind and heart, act on and accept the gifts of the present moment…and to give back and give thanks.

Heartfelt gratitude to my co-writers Gerald O’Brien and Catt Gravitt for walking down this road with me.

And thanks to you, for joining.

Peace and Blessings

Pam
